Welcome to PodTalk! Our community guidelines establish the standards for creating and sharing content on our platform. These guidelines help ensure PodTalk remains a safe, respectful, and creative space for all users.

1. Core Principles

We celebrate originality and innovation. Use PodTalk to share your unique perspectives, stories, and ideas with the world.

Treat others with dignity and respect. Create content that contributes positively to our community and respects diverse perspectives.

You are accountable for the content you create. Ensure your podcasts comply with applicable laws and respect the rights of others.

Help us maintain a safe environment by not creating or sharing content that could harm individuals or communities.
2. Content Standards

Encouraged Content
- Educational and informative podcasts
- Entertainment content, storytelling, and creative narratives
- News commentary and analysis (factual and balanced)
- Personal stories, experiences, and perspectives
- Professional content, business insights, and thought leadership
- Art, culture, and creative discussions
- How-to guides, tutorials, and skill-sharing
- Comedy, satire, and parody (that doesn't violate other guidelines)
β Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on PodTalk:
- Hate Speech: Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics
- Harassment and Bullying: Content that targets, intimidates, threatens, or degrades individuals or groups
- Violence and Graphic Content: Explicit depictions of violence, gore, or content that glorifies or incites violence
- Sexual Content: Pornography, sexually explicit material, or content that sexualizes minors
- Illegal Activities: Content promoting illegal drugs, weapons trafficking, fraud, hacking, or other criminal activities
- Dangerous Content: Instructions for self-harm, suicide, dangerous stunts, or activities that could cause serious injury
- Misinformation: Deliberate spread of false information that could cause harm, especially regarding health, safety, or elections
- Spam and Scams: Misleading content, phishing attempts, pyramid schemes, or deceptive practices
- Malware and Exploits: Content designed to harm, compromise, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data
3. Intellectual Property and Copyright
βοΈ CRITICAL: Copyright Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to use all content in your podcasts. Copyright infringement can result in legal action, account suspension, and financial penalties.
What You MUST NOT Do:
- Copy or read copyrighted books, articles, or written works without permission
- Use copyrighted scripts, dialogue, or content from movies, TV shows, or other podcasts
- Replicate or imitate celebrity voices, brand personas, or public figures without authorization
- Use copyrighted music, sound effects, or audio content without proper licensing
- Republish news articles, blog posts, or other copyrighted text content verbatim
- Violate trademarks by falsely representing brands or products
- Share private information or trade secrets without authorization
What You CAN Do:
- Create original content based on your own ideas and perspectives
- Use content you created yourself or own the rights to
- Use content in the public domain or with expired copyrights
- Reference and discuss copyrighted works under fair use (commentary, criticism, news reporting)
- Use licensed music or content from royalty-free libraries
- Quote short excerpts with proper attribution when appropriate for criticism or commentary

4. Respectful Communication
Harassment and Bullying
PodTalk has zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or targeted attacks. This includes:
- Threatening or intimidating individuals or groups
- Doxxing (sharing personal information without consent)
- Cyberstalking or unwanted repeated contact
- Mocking, insulting, or degrading individuals based on personal characteristics
- Encouraging others to harass or target someone
- Creating content intended to shame or humiliate specific individuals
Hate Speech
We do not allow content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on:
- Race, ethnicity, or national origin
- Religion or religious beliefs
- Gender identity or expression
- Sexual orientation
- Disability or medical condition
- Age
- Veteran status
- Immigration status
5. Safety and Well-being
Child Safety
Protecting children is our highest priority. We strictly prohibit:
- Content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors
- Content that facilitates or encourages child abuse
- Sharing or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
π¨ Important: Any content involving child exploitation will be immediately removed, accounts will be permanently banned, and we will report violations to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Self-Harm and Suicide
We do not allow content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for help:

Dangerous Activities
Do not create content that encourages dangerous activities that could result in serious injury or death, including dangerous challenges, stunts, or dares.
6. Privacy and Personal Information
- Respect Privacy: Do not share others' personal information (phone numbers, addresses, financial information, etc.) without their explicit consent
- No Doxxing: Publishing private information with intent to harass, intimidate, or harm is strictly prohibited
- Consent: If your podcast features or discusses specific individuals, ensure you have their consent where required by law
- Children's Privacy: Do not collect, share, or solicit personal information from minors
7. Authenticity and Integrity
Impersonation
- Do not pretend to be someone else or impersonate individuals, brands, or organizations
- Parody and satire accounts must be clearly labeled as such
- Do not mislead others about your identity or affiliations
Misinformation
- Do not deliberately spread false information that could cause harm
- Do not share manipulated or misleading content related to health, safety, elections, or emergencies
- Clearly label opinions, speculation, and unverified information as such
- Correct errors promptly if you discover your content contains misinformation
Spam and Manipulation
- Do not engage in artificial manipulation of engagement or popularity
- Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or inflate metrics
- Do not post repetitive or misleading content
8. Commercial Content and Advertising
- Transparency: Clearly disclose sponsored content, advertisements, and commercial relationships
- Honest Representation: Do not make false or misleading claims about products or services
- No Scams: Do not promote pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick scams, or fraudulent products
- Compliance: Ensure all commercial content complies with applicable advertising laws and regulations (FTC, ASA, etc.)
9. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in the following actions:

First-time or minor violations may receive a warning with guidance on compliance.
π« Content Removal
Violating content will be removed from the platform. Repeated violations may lead to further action.
βΈοΈ Account Suspension
Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary suspension of your account and access to PodTalk services.
π Account Termination
Severe violations (child exploitation, terrorism, extreme violence, etc.) or persistent violations will result in permanent account termination.
βοΈ Legal Action
Illegal activity will be reported to law enforcement. We cooperate fully with legal authorities and may provide user information when legally required.
π Note: Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion based on the severity, context, and frequency of violations. We may take action not explicitly listed here when necessary to protect our community.
10. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content that violates these Community Guidelines, please report it immediately. You can report violations:

π Thank You: Community reports help us identify and address violations quickly. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Your reports are confidential, and we take them seriously.
False Reporting
Do not abuse the reporting system. Deliberately filing false reports or using reports to harass others may result in action against your account.
11. Appeals Process
If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal the decision:
- Review the specific reason for the action in your notification
- If you believe it was a mistake, submit an appeal to dydemiryasir@gmail.com
- Include your account information and a detailed explanation
- Our team will review your appeal within 5-7 business days
- Appeal decisions are final
12. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines periodically to address new challenges, technologies, or community needs. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates when these guidelines were last revised. Continued use of PodTalk after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
